In April, the Clemmons Moravian Board of Elders sponsored a yard sale in support of the FMPM. Gently used items were available for sale, and any items not purchased were donated to the Moravian mission in Sierra Leone. Toys and games were donated to the Cherry Street Prison for inmates' children. The FMPM received a generous donation of $6,000 from Clemmons Moravian!
Spring/Summer Opportunity
During the spring and summer months, we invite 3-4 adults from churches to share a 30-minute Bible story and craft with the inmates’ children Sundays 2:30-3:30pm. Contact jone@forsythjpm.org if your church can help one Sunday.
Training Opportunity
Home Moravian Church is now one of fifty churches that render regularly scheduled worship services at the jail. The Reverend Ginny Tobiassen and eleven congregants completed the mandatory training and background checks required in order to lead services at the Forsyth County Jail. For information about training, please contact Jone Reid at jone@forsythjpm.org.
